One of our clients had been sold a combined broadband and hosting package which was costing them
in the region of £41.00 per month.
This package included:
- 2Mb ADSL Broadband
- hosting for 1 web domain (only the most basic package)
- 1 email mailbox (@ £4.99 per month per mailbox)
Solution
After investigating their current package and available alternatives we discovered that their costs
were very high for the features provided to them.
We advised that they switch to different suppliers.
Benefits
After switching their monthly costs are the same as they were paying before (give or take a couple of
pounds) and they have been able to increase the provided features significantly. Namely:
- Their broadband connection is now 8Mb
- They now have 2 web domains being hosted
- One of the hosted domains has advanced features such as server side scripting and back-end
database support. They will be using these features in the future to help track visitors and
make their website dynamic and interactive
- Each hosted site has up to 250 mailboxes included free of charge
- One FREE VoIP (Voice over IP) phone line
Their estimates savings (based on the original supplier providing these additional services) are
in the region of £10-£15 per month.
